Castleton Ward Labour Party, part of the Heywood and Middleton Constituency Labour Party (CLP), has launched a new website aimed at helping local residents to find out more about the Labour party in Castleton.

The site includes profile pages of the three Castleton councillors, Councillor Billy Sheerin, Councillor Jean Hornby and Councillor Aasim Rashid, with contact forms that go directly to the councillors.

There is a also a news section, and pages detailing times and dates of councillors' advice surgeries for local residents, as well as times and dates of meetings and events.

A spokesman said: "The new website is designed to help Castleton residents find out more about the party in the village, to get in touch with our local councillors, and to come and join us if they want to help promote the Labour values of social justice, strong community and strong values, reward for hard work, decency, and rights matched by responsibilities."
