Springhill Hospice – donations needed

Date published: 01 March 2016

Springhill Hospice’ s building and grounds will be transformed into a springtime Easter extravaganza for the annual Spring Fair on Sunday 13 March and event organiser Mel Caffrey is asking people in the community to donate items to the Hospice to help them raise money.

Ever year thousands of pounds are raised at Hospice fairs, all of which is spent on patient care.

However, without your help, there will be no fair and no money raised.

Ms Caffrey said: “The communities of Rochdale, Middleton and Heywood are always very generous, we’ re asking them to dig deep and donate for Springhill.

"We need toiletries for tombolas, ‘as good as new', chocolates, bottles and bric-a-brac. Help us make this fair a fundraising record breaker.”

Items can be donated to Springhill Hospice reception, Springhill Tea Room and Gift Shop or any of the Hospice’ s charity shops, see website for addresses and opening hours www.springhill.org.uk/retail, or phone 01706 641790 for advice.
