The sixth Doggy Dash for Life event at Hollingworth Lake is to take place on 10 April, raising money for Cancer Research UK.
People are welcome to bring their pooches for the race, which is organised by Littleborough group, Three Amigos.
Kath O’Donnell, who helps organise the event, says that the last five years have been a great success and that she expects a similar turnout this year.
She said: “It is like Race for Life, only you can get your dogs sponsored. It has been well supported and great for all the family. We have had great sponsorship this year from Crown House Vets and Ad Manum consultants, and we are very grateful for their support.”
She added: “In total we have raised a total of £65,000 for Cancer Research over the years. We can’t wait to make that number event bigger.”
The race starts from the visitors centre at 11am on the morning of 10 April. Entries have to be in by 3 April.
