Organisers of the ever popular family orientated Spring Fair at Springhill Hospice are calling on the community for help. Your Hospice needs you.
Sunday 13 March will see the Broad Lane Hospice transformed into a celebration of all things Spring-like. Springhill Hospice just needs a little help from you.
“We’re asking people not only to visit us between 10 am and 3pm on Sunday 13 but to donate something to the day”, said Melanie Caffrey event organiser.
To give supporters an idea of what the fundraising team need to help pull in the pounds at the Spring Fair, they have created “Six Sensationally Simple Spring Fair Essentials”
- Chocolate – What fair would be complete without a chocolate tombola?
- Toiletries – Help create the sweet smell of success at the Spring Fair for Springhill.
- Handbags – New and used handbags harvest hundreds for the Hospice.
- Bric-a-brac – Everyone likes a rummage, clear out your cupboards and send any bric-a-brac in good nick.
- Shoes – Ladies, we all have too many shoes and plenty of pairs that have been ‘worn once’. Rid yourself of the guilt you feel every time you open your wardrobe and we’ll find them a good home at a good price.
- Good as New – Has Auntie Elsie, Jane in Accounts or your ‘other half’ for that matter, bought you a gift that you simple don’t like. Perhaps your next door neighbour James gave you something that Jeremy, who lives opposite, bought you as well. No problem at all – we can take those unwanted presents and make them into much wanted and much needed money to fund Springhill Hospice.
“Last year, thanks to all the fabulous donations, the Spring Fair raised over £6,000! Thank you in advance to everyone who donates to this appeal, we can’t wait to be able to thank you in person on Sunday 13 March at Springhill Hospice” Melanie Caffrey, Springhill Hospice Fundraiser.
Donations should be marked “Springhill Hospice Fair Donation’ and can be dropped off at:
Any of our seven charity shops www.springhill.org.uk/retail
The Springhill Hospice Tea Room & Gift Shop www.springhill.org.uk/tea-rooms-and-gift-shop
Or at the Hospice itself.
