Major road accident – M62 lane blocked

An M62 slip road has been blocked after an accident, causing severe delays in the area.
One lane is currently blocked (3.00pm) with queuing traffic eastbound between Birch Services and junction 19, A6046, Heywood.
The accident, which involved a car transporter and a lorry, is classed as severe.
There is currently congestion back up to junction 18.
