Monday 25 January

  • A number of theft from motor vehicles reported in the Smallbridge and Littleborough areas over the last week.

Wednesday 27 January

  • A male and female were arrested in Middleton for production of cannabis, abstract electricity and child neglect.
  • Orpha Mkwaturi from Middleton has been arrested and charged with assault. She was bailed to attend court.
  • A male was arrested in Heywood for driving whilst disqualified and theft of motor vehicle. He is still in custody being investigated.
  • Police are appealing for the public’s help trace a missing 54-year-old Thomas Finan who went missing from his home address on Ings Lane, Spotland, at around 12.15pm, today, Wednesday 27 January 2016.

Thursday 28 January

  • A 39 year old male was arrested yesterday on suspicion of burglary has been charged and remanded in custody.
  • An elderly lady was tricked into giving “directions” to a pair of callous robbers who made off with her bank cards, subsequently spending £1,000 of her money.
  • Greater Manchester Police has marked Holocaust Memorial Day today by bringing faith leaders from across the region together to pay tribute to those who lost their lives.

Friday 29 January

  • Police are asking Littleborough residents to be vigilant after burglars entered a house on Victoria Street on 21 January through an unlocked door.
