Police ask residents to be vigilant after "sneak-in burglary"

Date published: 29 January 2016

Police are asking Littleborough residents to be vigilant after burglars entered a house on Victoria Street on 21 January through an unlocked door.

There have also been thefts from unlocked or insecure motor vehicles over the past week in Wardle and Littleborough.

Overnight between 19 and 20  January, a black HTC Desire S mobile phone and money was stolen from a vehicle on Springfield Avenue, Littleborough.

PCSO Alan Shaw said, "We are fielding extra patrols in the area due to the burglaries but we still need the general public to support us and pass any information on to us to assist us with the investigation."

If you have any information, please contact the police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
