At around 9am on Friday 22 January 2016, police were called about a number of concerning images that had been taken by staff at a care home in Middleton.

Police investigating the incident have arrested a 19-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman on suspicion of ill treatment or wilful neglect by a care worker.

The 19-year-old woman has been bailed pending further enquiries and the 23-year-old remains in custody for questioning.

Detective Inspector Lee Hopwood of GMP’s Rochdale Division said: “We have made two arrests but our investigation continues and I would like to again urge members of the public to allow us to investigate and deal with this matter.”
