Arrests for child neglect as cannabis farm is uncovered in Middleton

Police have arrested a man and woman on suspicion of child neglect after a cannabis farm was discovered in Middleton.

Officers arrived at an address at 7.00pm on Tuesday (26 January), where they arrested both parties and uncovered a large drug farm in the attic of the house.

A large amount of cannabis was removed from the property, along with lighting and ventilation system.

A spokesperson for GMP confirmed: “A male and female have been arrested in Middleton for production of cannabis, abstracting electricity and child neglect. Enquiries are ongoing.”
