Council officers raid Polish food store

Council officers raided a Polish Food Store, Drake Street, early on Saturday (23 January) morning.
It is understood a quantity of tobacco products were removed.
Mark Widdup, Director of Neighbourhoods at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “The Polish food store in Drake Street was visited by our Partnership Enforcement Team over the weekend, one of a number of checks that have been made on local businesses this month. Some items were removed and will be checked to see if they comply with legislation.
“Anyone with concerns about a business should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
