Living History Sessions at Falinge Park

Falinge Park High School

The Peoples History Museum came into Falinge Park High School for the day as part of the Earthworks Project and the History Curriculum on Tuesday 19 January.

Year 8 pupils were treated to a performance by an actor based on the rights and working conditions in the 19th Century; bringing together the Peterloo Massacre, the March to St Peters Fields and Journalistic Activities.

The Year 8 pupils all enjoyed the day and took a great deal away from the sessions.

Pupils gained an understanding of the world and living condition 200 years ago and further examined the reasons why people were so angry with the lack of democracy and conditions in the 19th century.
