Taxi driver injured and four van occupants fled the scene of a collision

The occupants of a Transit van fled the scene following a collision with a taxi at the junction of Bentley Street and Whitworth Road.
A police spokesman confirmed they were called to scene at 17.25pm this evening (Sunday 24 January) and that four occupants from the van had fled.
The taxi driver has minor injuries and was taken to Fairfield Hospital.
The road is still currently closed (8.00pm).
