Media students at Hopwood Hall College are being given the opportunity to work with Rochdale Online to produce and present a video summary of the week's news headlines.

The students will be producing the video round ups on a weekly basis during term time.

Rob Maddison, Lecturer in Creative Media at Hopwood Hall College, said: "Working with Rochdale Online is a great way to give our students real world experience of working in the media. Rochdale Online has given us a lot of support already this year and it is great to be working with them.

"The type of products the student's will be creating is a great way of furthering their knowledge and understanding of media and also demonstrating another strand of media production."

Rochdale Online Managing Director Pauline Journeaux said: "We have a long tradition of offering work experience to local students and are pleased to now be able to offer real world experience to the media students at Hopwood."
