Fire at the The Sandbrook
The Sandbrook pub was evacuated on Tuesday (19 January) night after a chip pan caught fire in the kitchen.
Three fire engines from Rochdale and Heywood arrived on the scene, on Sandbrook Way, at 9.50pm, as customers were ushered to a fire evacuation point on the opposite side of the car park.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that no one was hurt in the incident, but has warned to be extra careful when using a chip pan.
