M62 closure between junctions 18 and 19

4pm Update: The eastbound carriageway of the M62 is now closed between J18 & J19. Traffic is being directed off the motorway at J18.
The eastbound carriageway is not estimated to reopen before 8pm.
One lane of the westbound carrigeway remains closed.

There are currently two lanes closed on the M62 westbound at junction 18 (Simister Island) and junction 19 (Heywood) due to a road traffic collision.
It is understood that the hard shoulder and lanes one and two are closed.
Traffic conditions are expected to return to normal between 2.15pm and 2.30pm.
