Driver flees scene of accident

The driver of a car that crashed into the side of a lorry at the Oldham Road/Queensway gyratory roundabout was seen running from the scene this morning (Friday 8 January).
Residents were warning of traffic chaos and bus routes closed due to the incident.
It is understood that the car involved was being chased by police earlier this morning in Kirkholt.
