Man wanted after woman was strangled, punched and kicked

Lancashire police are trying to trace a man with links to the Rochdale area in connection with a serious assault in Bacup.

Jamie Fairclough, 27, is wanted following an incident on 27 December where a 25-year-old woman was strangled, punched and kicked.

Fairclough is described as white, 5ft 6in, with brown hair.

His last known address is in Whitworth and he has links to the Rochdale area.

PC Jordan Bruce, of Lancashire Police, said: “We are keen to trace Fairclough and are asking anyone who has seen him or knows of his whereabouts to get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Lancashire Police immediately.”
