Residents take issue as Rochdale described as 'one of the worst places to live'

Date published: 07 January 2016

Many residents have criticised an article describing Rochdale as one of the worst places to live, saying they “love Rochdale” and that the article is “just rude”.

The 'I Live Here' website has ranked the town as ninth in its top ten list of the ‘Worst Places to Live in England 2016’.

Rochdale is placed in the list in between Middleborough at number 10 and Stoke on Trent at number eight.

On the website, it states that Rochdale is a new entry into the list this year and is described as an “excremental town”.

The full list is:

1. Grimsby
2. Luton
3. Bradford
4. Blackpool
5. Kingston Upon Hull
6. Barking and Dagenham
7. Tower Hamlets
8. Stoke on Trent
9. Rochdale
10. Middlesbrough
