Campaigners at Rochdale station for re-nationalisation of railways

Momentum
Momentum Rochdale, Heywood & Middleton was campaigning this afternoon for the re-nationalisation of the railways at Rochdale station as part of a national campaign.
Leaflets were handed out and Momentum members spoke to railway users.
A spokesperson said: "We find it amazing that the Tory government does not mind other countries nationalised rail industries taking control of our railways, but not our own.
"We will be campaigning strongly for the railways to be welcomed back into public ownership.
"We would urge people to contact their MP and ask them to campaign for your railways."
The Labour party has committed to re-nationalise the railways.
