Classes at the Rochdale Campus of Hopwood Hall College have been suspended for the time being and it is hoped that classes will recommence week commencing 11 January 2016.
Principal Derek O’Toole said: “Following the recent severe weather and subsequent flooding there has been significant damage done to the infrastructure at our Rochdale campus. The crèche has been particularly affected.
“Despite a team of people working tirelessly over the holiday period, classes scheduled for our Rochdale campus will be suspended week commencing 4 January. It is planned that all classes at Rochdale will recommence week commencing 11 January 2016.
“The Middleton campus is unaffected and all classes will recommence as planned on Tuesday 5 January 2016.
“All Rochdale based support staff should report to the Middleton campus on Monday 4 January where revised work activities for the week will be presented. The Teaching and Learning Conference will now take place at the Middleton campus on Monday 4 January.
“Thank you for your patience.”
