Residents on Belfield Road 'desperate' for help
Date published: 27 December 2015
Residents on Belfield Road are desperate for help following the floods.
Resident Casey Lydidate contacted Rochdale Online and said: “Belfield Road has lost power leaving families with young children desperate due to the river bank bursting.
“Belfield Road needs help urgently. A pipe has burst which is keeping the flood from going down. There are no food trucks or generators to help.”
Ms Lydidate also said that people are “unable to leave their homes” and are “desperate for fresh supplies and heating”.
A council spokesman promised to send someone to the area.
