Low water pressure caused by technical fault

Date published: 27 December 2015

A technical fault is causing low water pressure in the borough.

United Utilities is aware of the problem and engineers have been working to sort the problem this afternoon.

A spokesperson said: "We’re sorry about this and will try and get your taps flowing normally as quickly as we can."

UPDATE
6.30pm

Engineers have rectified the issue at Bamford Service Reservoir and the water should slowly start to flow normally again. As this is a large area, it may take a few hours for the water pressure to return to normal levels.

Because there’s been some disturbance to the pipes in your area you may notice the water is a little cloudy or discoloured.
