Heywood and Middleton police hold party for victims of crime

Date published: 24 December 2015

Officers from Heywood and Middleton Police held a party for victims of crime and vulnerable members of the community.

The event included a Christmas meal, presents and entertainment.

Inspector Steve Hanlon said: “It was a great success. I would like to thank Virgin Active, the other businesses and volunteers from Heywood and Middleton that took part, along with my own staff who made it all possible, particularly PCSO Jenny George, without whom, it would not have happened.
"It is especially important at this time of year to remember we are a community.”

Officers have also been out in the community delivering Christmas hampers.

Inspector Hanlon added: “It remains for me to wish you all a Happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.”
