Young people get new leader for healthcare

Diana Jellinek, new clinical lead for young people’s healthcare

Diana Jellinek has been appointed by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust to develop health care services for young people across Pennine Care.

Ms Jellinek has been appointed to the clinical lead post, which involves raising the profile of existing services and delivering new ones.

She takes the role after three years as the Designated Doctor for Safeguarding in Trafford, where she developed an interest in service development and innovation.

Prior to that, Ms Jellinek led the development of the Greater Manchester Sudden Unexpected Death in Childhood Service, which is one of the most comprehensive in the country.

She said: “My aim is to develop consistent standards and guidelines across the children’s services in the area, provide a forum for sharing good practice, and develop the use of data and IT, to support and continually improve services.

“I look forward to meeting new colleagues and working towards developing innovative models of service delivery.”

Henry Ticehurst, Medical Director for Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, added: “Diana has a wealth of valuable knowledge and expertise, with her experience of innovation and clinical leadership in children’s care, we are delighted to have her taking on this important role.”

Pennine Care is a provider of community and mental health services. It delivers care in Bury; Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale; Oldham; Tameside and Glossop; Stockport; and Trafford.
