The annual TH96 run, in aid of 'Cardiac Risk in the Young', will take place in memory of gifted cricketer Tom Hardman on Saturday 11 March.
Tom, a former pupil at Holy Family RC and CE College, was a gifted batsman and bowler who played for Middleton Cricket Club and the Lancashire second team prior to his sudden death aged just 21 in November 2012.
The nine-mile run is split across three stages: starting at Rochdale Cricket to Norden Cricket Club, Norden on to Heywood Cricket Club, and finally, from Heywood to Middleton Cricket Club, where Tom was a player.
Around 250 people are expected to take part.
