Enrolment begins at Hopwood Hall College – and it's a great opportunity for people of all ages

Date published: 25 August 2024

Hopwood Hall College and University Centre has officially begun enrolling for the new academic year – and people of all ages are invited to come along.

The college – which has campuses in Middleton and Rochdale – offers a wide range of pathways designed for adult learners.

This means that learners of all ages are just one course away from diving into an exciting new chapter in their lives.

It’s never been easier to sign up for a course, with both weekend and evening enrolment opportunities at both campuses over the next few weeks.

While enrolment will still be taking place on weekdays, prospective students also have the option of heading to the college between 10am – 2pm on Saturday 31 August.

In addition, there will be twilight enrolment sessions taking place in the evenings next month.

These drop-ins will be held from 4.30pm – 7pm on Thursdays the 5th, 12th and 19th of September.

In the past, people have chosen to return to education for a number of reasons.

This includes boosting their career prospects or retraining for an entirely new profession.

Julia Heap, principal and CEO of Hopwood Hall College and University Centre, said: “Lifelong learning is alive and well in the borough!

“We’re seeing more and more adults return to education in order to gain the qualifications that will allow them to get ahead.

“There have been too many success stories to count – with former learners having used their courses to secure promotions, step into an exciting new career or even start their own business!

“I’d be delighted to see people of all ages follow their lead and gain qualifications that can be truly life changing!”

Hopwood’s got a fantastic record for supporting learners so that they can reach their potential and get to where they want to be in life.

The college’s in-person courses are particularly popular and allow learners to benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, as well as learn from expert tutors who have years of industry experience.

This allows people to really use their chosen course as a stepping stone towards a brighter future.

In some cases, this can mean taking those all-important first steps towards Higher Education.

The college’s Access routes perfectly equip learners to apply and secure places at universities across the country.

However, Hopwood also sees large numbers of people opting to study at their own University Centre.

This has been going from strength to strength in recent years and is now launching its first degree programmes in partnership with the Open University.

Anyone wanting to apply for a course at the University Centre can do so easily through UCAS.
