Artisan Market
The north west’s very best hand-crafted food products and unique treasures will be on offer this Saturday (9 April) as Rochdale’s Artisan Market returns to town.
Whether you’re seeking something different from the mundane, wish to buy local and support small businesses, or if you care about the food you’re eating, the Artisan Market has something for everyone, set against a refreshing backdrop of live music from the Flat Cap 3.
Ideal for foodies seeking new flavours, discover an exceptional variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, the freshest meat from a local farm butcher, organic cheese, local wildflower honey and traditional loose-leaf herbal teas, hand blended by a fully-qualified medical herbalist.
From savoury to sweet, traditional Indian food, handmade cookies and fudge, classic pies and bread, and delicious cakes, treats and doughnuts from highly-skilled artisans will provide a feast for all the senses with their delightful aromas and tempting looks.
Wholesome natural food with no added nasties is also available for our beloved pets, plus handmade coats, leads and bandanas, and even hand-crafted dog and cat toys such as squeaky bones and addictive catnip mice.
Alternatively, indulge in a spot of luxurious pampering with handmade botanical soaps, bath, body and skincare products, all lovingly made in small batches using skin-loving natural oils and butters.
You can even pick up beautiful gifts to treasure for a lifetime, such as your own bespoke bear, personalised goods, wooden jewellery and pyrographed wood, framed prints, gift cards, soy wax melts and home fragrances – every item as lovingly crafted as the one before it.
Paul Ambrose, BID manager, says this weekend's market is not to be missed, adding: "The Artisan Market is proving to be hugely popular and it is a chance to showcase and support creative local businesses.
"The market is helping to entice new visitors to the town centre and it helps to create a vibrant atmosphere and with a growing offer it really does have something for everyone.
"Visitors to the market will be entertained by the talented Flat Cap 3 who be performing throughout the day."
With all the stops pulled out for 2022, mark this Saturday’s Artisan Market in your diary – or face missing out on the best of the north west!
The Artisan Market will be located at Riverside from 10am-4pm, Saturday 9 April, and will return on the second Saturday of each month up to – and including – December.
