Book now for Christmas at the Wellington
There really is something for everyone at The Wellington this Christmas, one of Rochdale’s finest gastro pubs with an elegant interior and modest prices.
The former Drake Street coach house is now taking bookings for Christmas, featuring a succulent three-course menu, introducing four mouth-watering options for each course.
Expect traditional festive delicacies with a twist, such as honey-glazed parsnip soup and fresh baked crusty bread, the tried-and-tested Christmas dinner classic, followed by creamy and decadent desserts such as a seasonal Cointreau cheesecake, or homemade brownie with Birch Farm’s dairy ice-cream.
For purists, a Christmas pudding topped with brandy sauce is sure to be up your street.
Add a touch of class with one of the Wellington’s festive Christmas cocktails, which cost just £10 for two during Happy Hour (5pm ‘til 8pm every day), or choose from a variety of gins, cask ales and fine wines.
One of the most well-known and historic buildings in Rochdale, the grade II listed former Wellington Hotel, once the town’s leading coach house during the Victorian period, was given a glamourous new lease of life in 2017 following extensive refurbishment.
Live music is also back by popular demand, with a pianist every Friday and various acts on Saturdays.
The opulent regency-inspired lounge is available to hire for all occasions from small buffets and afternoon teas to birthdays and Christmas bookings – so you’ll need to be fast to land a table at Rochdale’s hottest venue.
Owners Michael and Sarah Howarth said: “We want everyone to see that you can relax in a safe drinking environment here. If you want to listen to music, that’s great. If you’re after a drink, come in and make yourself at home. If you’re after a meal, we have you covered.”
The Christmas menu starts from just £13.95 per person and is available between 12 noon and 9pm between Wednesdays and Sundays.
A £5 deposit per person is required for parties of six or more.
