Win a £500 sponsorship with Team Karting
Date published: 16 March 2018
If you would like to win a £500 sponsorship for your sports team, look no further than Team Karting’s Race For Your Team Championship.
The championship is open from now until the end of June to any amateur community sports team with members aged between eight and 15 years. The triumphant team will win sponsorship for the a year.
All you have to do is enter a driver into a time-trial race (any 'Arrive & Drive' session taking place seven days a week between 3pm-10pm Monday/Friday and 9am-9pm Saturday/Sunday). A team can only enter once, but members within that team can compete an unlimited amount of times.
21-year-old CEO of Team Karting, Matty Street, who has a background in motorsports, said: “Like any other grassroots sport, grassroots motorsport and karting provides so many more opportunities for others by giving them the chance to become involved in sport at an accessible level.”
After graduating from university having studied Motorsport Management and Logistics, Matty moved to Team Karting as a part-time track marshal. Within months he had become Executive Manager, overseeing the whole company at the age of 19. He later bought Team Karting in July 2017 and has taken the company from strength to strength, working with young people of all ages and abilities.
Matty added: “I want grassroots motorsport to be more inclusive to all, which is why we’ve had projects like Girls in Motorsport, and Racing with Autism Day. We want people who ordinarily wouldn’t necessarily take part in go-karting to give it a try, which is why we’ve got this big incentive with sports teams to encourage young players and athletes into an alternative grassroots sport.
“This is why we’re offering this fantastic sponsorship to the winning team. If you enter more drivers, the better your chance of winning. We will also be awarding the sponsorship to the team with the most consistent drivers, rather than the fastest lap.”
In addition to £500 cash for full kit sponsorship with the Team Karting logo on the team shirts, plus 50% off a team bonding day, there is an end of season party or a Christmas party for all players and coaches.
A one-off £10 registration fee applies (payment per team), then £25 or £35 per karting session (per driver).
The championship runs until 30 June 2018: the winning most consistent driver will be announced shortly afterwards.
Championship registration forms can be received by emailing matty@teamkarting.co.uk or calling 01706 310 999.
