Having recently been awarded a ‘Good’ rating by Education watchdog Ofsted, the College will be giving attendees the opportunity to have a go at some of their courses and apply on the day with help from our tutors. Specific activities already confirmed are:
- Campus tours, including our indoor animal area
- Wallpapering and wall effects with our painting and decorating team
- Weights challenge and hand grip test with sports tutors
- Take care of one of our interactive baby dolls in our virtual nursery at Rochdale campus
Information will also be available on our NEW Ladies Football Academy being run in partnership with Jill Scott, who plays for Manchester City and has over 100 international caps. Come along and speak to our sports tutors for further details and to apply to join in September 2017.
Practical learning
If you’ve had enough of sitting in a classroom and you’d like to learn through practical experience, a BTEC qualification could be just what you’re looking for! With Level 3 courses equivalent to A Levels, they are a recognised pathway to higher education at university.
Hopwood Hall is also one of the highest performing colleges in Greater Manchester, with success rates that put them at the top of the league table for two years running. They also excel on the sporting field and have a legacy of developing successful sportsmen and women including footballer Craig Dawson and double Olympic gold medallist boxer Nicola Adams.
Additionally, all their students benefit from free gym membership, free breakfast, 8 free bus routes and up to £30 bursary per week (terms and conditions apply).
