Nelsie Cockayne looking for old friends

Date published: 03 January 2014

Nelsie Cockayne, formerly Nelsie Fitton, is searching for old friends Ann and Sandra who lived on Roch Mills Crescent, Sudden approximately fifteen years ago.

Nelsie, who now lives in Huddersfield, left Rochdale after the death of her baby. Before leaving Rochdale, Nelsie lived across the road from Ann and Sandra with her husband and two sons, Matthew and Gareth.

Nelsie said: “My life wasn’t good and they helped me out a lot. Now my life is back on track, I long to get in touch with them as all they wanted for me was to be happy.”

At the time, Ann and Sandra lived with and looked after a lady with special needs called Rose. Nelsie added: “They meant a great deal to me. I have tried to find them through family and friends still in Rochdale but have had no luck.”

Ann and Sandra would also have known Nelsie’s dad Ray Fisher who lived at the back of Nelsie on Roch Mills Crescent at the time.

Nelsie would also like to contact Caroline Hunter who lived off Sandy Lane, Rochdale. Caroline was a school friend of Nelsie’s when the two attended Redbrook Middle School together. She said: “I miss her a lot but haven’t been able to find her. I know she might have got married so I am not sure of her surname.”
