Nutters restaurant celebrates 22 years

Date published: 27 July 2015

Chef Andrew Nutter celebrated his restaurant's 22nd year in business at the weekend with a 'two little ducks' themed event.

Taking inspiration from the bingo term for 22, Nutters turned yellow and played host to games of hook-a-duck and duck bingo.

Guests included Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley, who partied at the event on Saturday (25 July) with a group of friends and fiancé Tom Pitfield.

Masterchef winner Simon Wood also attended, and was roped into culinary action by Andrew. He fired up the grill to sear some scallops for guests as they arrived.

Guests were treated to a five course meal, which included a 'two little duck' starter and courses of fine beef fillet, roasted sea bass and a signature dessert.

At the age of 21, Andrew started the business in Norden with the backing of his mum Jean and dad Rodney, and started out as a 40-cover pub.

After 10 years, the family bought the old Wolstenholme Manor, set in a six acre woodland in Norden, and have remained there ever since.

The celebrations continued on Sunday (26 July) with a full house of diners.
