New Lord of the Manor

Date published: 15 April 2004

Award winning TV Chef Andrew Nutter has moved his restaurant “Nutters” to the outskirts of Norden.

The highly popular restaurant Nutters has relocated from its moorland location on the A680 (Edenfield Road) down to what was The Manor on the outskirts of Norden. The renowned restaurant is opening on 15 April at the new location, and has a sell out inaugural event with a champagne reception and a Gala Dinner on Wednesday 28 April.

The new location for the restaurant is open 7 days a week, all year round. Mr Nutter said that at the new location they could now cater for weddings, conferences and corporate functions in addition to the usual gourmet lunch and dinner menu.

The move comes because his restaurant was so popular that the old premises could not cope with the demand. The Manor provides much more kitchen and dinning space that gives more flexibility for drinking and dinning including outside when weather permits. Mrs Gina Nutter said, “It will mean that customers will not be restricted to the relay system that we had at the old location. Dinners will be able to stay all night if they wish.”

Charismatic Andrew Nutter (31) set up his business ten years ago on the site of the former New Inn. Since then he has received many accolades: he was selected as Lancashire Chef of the Year, Young Mancunian Businessman of the Year, and also has had his own TV show on channel 5 “Utter Nutter”, with a successful book of the same name.
