Swansway Honda Rochdale new General Manager, Ben Locke

Ben Locke is the new General Manager of Queensway-based Swansway Honda.

Ben says his passion for the car business started when he was just sixteen.

He explained: “As a kid I had three passions, rugby, cooking and cars; I played rugby for England Colts but sadly my knees gave up and I loved cooking and spent my summers in France working for Raymond Blanc.”

Ben was too modest to say himself but he won Junior Chef of the Year at Olympia, for two consecutive years in 1996 and 1997. He added: “I had to choose between cooking and cars and my passion for cars won. I joined the motor trade aged 21 and I’ve never regretted it, I love my job.”

Family owned and run Swansway group is soon to re-build the Honda Rochdale site.

Ben added, “I’m excited to be joining Swansway Honda Rochdale at such an exciting time and I’m loving the family feel.”
