Julie Bowmer with her award
Rochdale based businesswoman Julie Bowmer picked up the award for Outstanding Woman in Business at the E3 Business Awards held 11 June at the Macron Stadium in Bolton.
The event was attended by hundreds of businesses from all over the North West region, showing just exactly what the Northern Powerhouse is all about.
Ms Bowmer has majority interest in three businesses situated in Rochdale, TBD Associates, Baker Bennett and The Business Depot.
There is also a fourth business TrailerTeq – Mechanical Engineering which is situated near Leyland, all of which come under the group umbrella Likahea Holdings.
It is this diversity, the ongoing training of staff along with the passion for the regeneration of her home town that won her the award.
As Ms Bowmer accepted the award, she said: “I might be the individual accepting the award but it is very much down to team effort and I thank them.”
