Offer of incentives for local employers who recruit Your Housing Group tenants

Your Housing Group
Your Housing Group, one of the UK’s largest housing associations, is offering employers in Rochdale a financial incentive to employ people who live in their properties.
The Wage Subsidy Scheme provides employers with a £2,000 grant if they employ a Your Housing Group tenant. To qualify, businesses just need to confirm a job of more than 16 hours per week is available and it is likely to last more than six months.
Sarah Mitten, Community Projects Manager at Your Housing Group, who have 65 properties in Rochdale, said: “The Wage Subsidy Scheme can really benefit small companies who want to expand. It’s a great incentive to local employers and a fantastic way of helping our residents find jobs. We want to more encourage local employers to take advantage of this opportunity, which creates jobs and boosts the local economy.”
The scheme is a partnership between Your Housing Group and Re:vision (North), a charity which helps people into employment.
