Businesses in the borough who want to get involved with Rochdale Feel Good Festival are being reminded they need to register their interest now, to ensure they don’t miss out.

The council is encouraging businesses to consider staging their own mini event, demonstration or promotion during the annual event which attracts thousands of visitors every year. There is also an opportunity for local traders to have a stall or stand on the festival market, and food traders are especially encouraged to apply.

Event Manager Susan Ayres said she is looking for imaginative ideas to ensure as many businesses as possible benefit from the thousands of people expected to attend the festival this summer:

“The fact that there will be thousands of people at the festival - which has superb live music, great food and entertainment - means there is a real opportunity for businesses to get involved. We are keen for as many as possible to be part of Rochdale Feel Good Festival so that we can make 2015 another outstanding success.”

Pop rock band Toploader are already on the line up with more high profile acts due to be announced shortly.

Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September, for its 8th year, with organisers promising another incredible showcase of entertainment, food and culture.

There will be live music across indoor venues, a main stage against the backdrop of the town hall and a community stage. Celebrity chefs will host live cooking demonstrations throughout the event, which will also include the popular food market.

Council Leader Richard Farnell said: “Rochdale Feel Good Festival has grown significantly since it begun back in 2008, bringing thousands of people of all ages into our town every year to support local businesses. It also quite rightly attracts a good deal of positive publicity and is a real boost to the town as well as well as a fantastic showcase for the borough to visitors and residents.”
