Littleborough Oakenhoof Cloggers and the Black Nan Band made a surprise appearance at Rebecca's Coffee Shop to celebrate the shop's fourth birthday.

The cloggers were on their way to the Folk and Roots Festival in Hebden Bridge but decided to stop off at the Hare Hill Road coffee shop to perform a rendition of happy birthday and to hold a celebratory birthday 'pile-on'.

Rebecca Chadwick was one of the founder traders on Littleborough Farmers' Market selling her speciality and gluten-free cakes. They proved to be so popular that she then went on to open the coffee shop.

Rebecca said, "It was amazing to see all the cloggers this morning. I can't believe they actually did a birthday pile-on in the middle of the shop."

"It's been a fantastic four years so far. I am so grateful to all my regular customers and everyone who chooses to support local business by popping in for a brew and a cake."

The cloggers have been in hot demand lately. They were featured on BBC Radio Manchester on Thursday, held a Maypole in Hare Hill Park last Saturday and will appear at Ellenroad Steam Museum in Milnrow on 7 June.
