GMP certification opens the door to new international markets for Quat-Chem
Quat-Chem has been formally GMP certified by MSL for the manufacturer of chemical biocides and disinfectants.
Good manufacturing practices (GMP) are guidelines that confirm proper controls are fully exercised in the company’s manufacturing processes, so that products are manufactured to meet the quality standards of the industry.
Quat-Chem has successfully demonstrated strong quality management systems, process controls and robust operating procedures for the consistent production and supply of hygiene products.
Quat-Chem’s Quality Management System (QMS) will now incorporate GMP guidelines alongside the ISO 9001:2008 compliance standards to meet our customers' quality requirements.
Dr Rubinah Chowdhary, Scientific Director, said: "Our production and quality control teams work to a ‘continuous improvement’ programme for our operational processes, and have successfully undertaken ISO quality control and environmental audits earlier this year.
Arthur Todd, Quat-Chem’s Business Development Manager, added: "GMP will serve to increase market confidence in the Company, and enhance our positioning in international markets, better placing us to meet market demands, future challenges and strategic plans."
