Valley Vetcare celebrate first anniversary

Date published: 19 April 2015

Valley Vetcare, on Whitworth Road, held an open day yesterday (Saturday 18 April) to celebrate their first anniversary.

Held at the veterinary practice, the staff and clients of the vets, got together to celebrate a successful year.

Stephanie Driscoll, Head Nurse at the practice, said: “We have had some quiet patches but overall we have had a successful year. We just wanted to get together and celebrate our first year really.”

The open day celebrations included tours of the practice, pet portraits, face painting and balloon art, a tombola, food and drink.

Money raised from the event went to Rochdale Dog Rescue.

Stephanie added: “We work closely with Rochdale Dog Rescue so all of the money raised today will go to them. They are also a local charity who don’t get much funding so we thought they would be a nice charity to support.”

Owned by Vincent Wager and Haamad Sarwar, the practice has a sister practice in Rawtenstall but the branch on Whitworth Road is the only Valley Vetcare in Rochdale.

“We are just going to take it day-by-day really and see how things go. We have some offers on over the next month so hopefully we will be busy and then we can go from there,” added Stephanie.
