The Enterprise Game
Date published: 25 June 2008
Learning about enterprise became a statutory requirement for all 14 to 16-year-old school students as of September 2004. Students must learn about how business operates, demonstrate enterprising skills and qualities and understand a range of economic ideas such as, cost, profit, risk, investment and customer-supplier relationships.
In order to help students learn about enterprise, a board game has been designed which reflects the local economy. Featuring 28 local businesses on the board will make playing the ‘Enterprise’ Game even more real for our young people. Moreover, actual company names on the board will help the students learn what kinds of businesses exist in their local economy.
Greater Manchester businesses are being given the opportunity of becoming one of these 28 organisations. For more information contact Nancy Kalinowski.
