Rochdale Law Association members receive dementia training

Date published: 25 February 2015

Members of Rochdale Law Association have received training from Nosheen Bukhari, a Member of the Rochdale Law Association and a dementia champion.

Pamela Walsh, a partner at Hartley Thomas & Wright Solicitors and the current President of the Rochdale Law Association, said: "Dementia is one of the biggest health challenges in the UK but with support people with dementia can, and do, take an active role in life.

"Today (25 February), some of our solicitor members from Hartley Thomas & Wright, Temperley Taylor and JBHS Solicitors received training from Nosheen Bukhari.

"We have learned a lot.

"Several other members have already received similar training.

"We want to do all that we can to improve the experience of any of our clients who may be effected by this issue.

"We want to promote dementia friendly practices in the Rochdale Borough"

Many of our member firms have clients who may be effected by these issues either personally or within their circle of family and friends.

We felt it was important to ensure our member firms client care practices include an enhanced awareness of the issue and that we act to improve and adapt our client care systems accordingly.
