Chamber helps companies go green
Date published: 16 May 2008
Businesses are being offered a helping hand to cut their carbon emissions through a new standard launched by Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
The Carbon Action standard has been developed by the Chamber’s partner company, Business Support Solutions, to help firms cut their emissions and energy use and save money at the same time.
Business Support Solutions’ Chief Executive, Fiona Mellett, explained: “There was a definite need for something to help businesses make those vital reductions.
“They are bombarded with an ever-increasing array of tips for cutting carbon emissions but sometimes don’t know quite where to start.
“Our Carbon Action standard will allow businesses to assess their current situation and plan a series of reductions and changes to help the environment and their bottom line as well. It is an excellent addition to our portfolio of services to help businesses grow and prosper,” she concluded.
