Carcraft to support Millie’s Trust

Date published: 20 March 2014

Millie’s Trust, a national charity working to raise awareness of paediatric first aid, has been selected by Carcraft to receive 12 months of support.

Millie’s Trust, based in Greater Manchester, was founded in December 2012 by the parents of Millie Thompson who tragically died in a choking incident. Since then, it has trained 2,500 people across the country in first aid, and as a result has saved the lives of over 150 children.

The partnership, will see Carcraft and Millie’s Trust work to offer family first aid courses to the communities surrounding its showrooms. Alongside this, Carcraft will also support Millie’s Trust with a range of fundraising activities.

Robin Bridge, Chief Operating Officer at Carcraft commented: “We’re really pleased to announce this partnership. This year we are working hard to support the local communities around our showrooms. We feel that Millie’s Trust is a fantastic cause that everyone can get behind.

“I know that Dan and Joanne at Millie's Trust have worked very hard over the last 15 months to raise awareness of paediatric first aid and we look forward in helping them continue this work and training more people in this essential life saving skill.”

Dan Thompson, Co-Founder of Millie’s Trust added: “Myself and Joanne are delighted to be working with Carcraft. Its range of locations across the country means we will be able to offer more courses and train more people than ever before and save more lives. This support is essential for us to be able to carry on providing first aid courses throughout the UK.”
