Solicitors gift for Barnardo’s young people

Date published: 21 February 2014

Big hearted staff from a solicitors Rochdale have been raising money to donate much needed items to two services in Bury – MyPad and Rachel House.

Staff at Quality Solicitors AST Hampsons donated a flat screen television with DVD player and soft furnishings and pictures for the services. They have offices in Rochdale, Bury and Moston.

MyPad is a service which promotes independent living for young people leaving the care system and Rachel House provides supported lodgings for homeless young people aged 16-21 years old.

Zoe Bell, a solicitor from Quality Solicitors AST Hampsons, Rochdale said: “We decided to raise the money to buy some things for both services after I visited the MyPad service.

“I was incredibly impressed with all of the residents and staff there and we really wanted to do something for them to help them along the way as they try so hard to achieve a positive future. I had a lovely home made thank you card from one of the residents there which was wonderful.”

Children’s Service Manager for both services, Chantal Foy added: “We are very grateful for this wonderful donation from the staff at Quality Solicitors AST Hampsons. They have been put to really good use by our service users who really appreciate it.”
