Workplace health issues
Date published: 07 January 2008
Groundwork Oldham amp; Rochdale are working in partnership with Rochdale MBC and the Heywood, Middleton amp; Rochdale Primary Care Trust, to deliver free healthy lifestyle support services to small and medium-sized businesses within the Rochdale Borough.
A well-structured health promotion programme can provide a range of benefits for businesses. It can help reduce staff sickness, decrease the risk of compensation claims for work related ill-health, and help to ensure compliance with workplace health-related legislation addressing areas such as: smoking, healthy eating, mental health and well-being, and physical activity.
