Two trainees at Baker Tilly’s office in Rochdale have passed the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales exams.

The exams provide the penultimate step for trainee’s wishing to become fully qualified accountants.

In the firm’s Rochdale office, Nick Gardner passed the ICAEW case study and graduated from Salford University with a first in finance and accounting. Mr Gardner is currently working in Audit, where he plans to specialise.

Rebecca Parry has passed Business Reporting and Business Change and is set to sit the ICAEW case study in July of this year. She studied accounting and finance at the University of Manchester and wishes to specialise in Pension Accounts and Audit.

Jill Jones, Baker Tilly’s North-West Regional Managing Partner, was full of praise for the duo.

“These graduates have attained an extremely high level of achievement, and their success is as a result of their hard work and dedication during their time with Baker Tilly.”

Baker Tilly is the trading name of a number of separate legal entities with over 4,000 partners and staff operating from 50 offices throughout the UK.

The company is the seventh largest UK firm of chartered accountants, tax and business advisers to entrepreneurial and growing businesses.
