Rochdale Crown Trade Decorating Centre wins Branch of the Year

Date published: 06 January 2014

Crown Trade Decorating Centre in Rochdale has won Branch of the Year at the Crown Decorating Centres Sustainable Growth Event.

Manager of Rochdale Crown Decorating Centre, Chrissie Blincoe said: “It is amazing. We are very proud of the achievement.”

The event, which was held in Leicester on 17 December, saw the Rochdale branch go up against 121 other Crown Decorating Centres, including big city centre locations.

“It is good because we have beaten the bigger locations and with us being a small town on the edge of the Pennines it has made it a better achievement,” said Chrissie.

Paula Taylor, Marketing Manager for Crown Decorating Centres, added: “There are 121 Crown Decorating Centres in the UK so for Chrissie to win this award is a fantastic achievement.”

The event is held annually and aims to recognise the work of the stores across the UK. Last year, the Rochdale store won the regional award and this year topped their success by winning the regional and national award.

Chrissie said: “We hoped we would win because we have traded well this year.”

The award was based on how the store has performed throughout the year as well as their customer service, audit reports and other factors.

Chrissie added: “It is definitely a good start to the New Year but we just need to keep it up now.”

The Rochdale branch is based at Magnum Trade Park, Fishwick Street, Rochdale.
