NMIPS Christmas party
NMIPS Group, Rochdale has raised over £500 for When You Wish Upon A Star.
A Christmas party, which was held on Friday 13 December, saw staff members dress up as superheroes and sell cakes to raise the money.
Tracy Rowlinson who helped to organise the event said: “It went really well and was a really good day.”
Through their event and other fundraising activities, the team have raised £500 but Tracy is expecting to have made a bit more with
sponsorship still coming in. “Up to now we have raised £500 but people were still getting sponsorship over the weekend so I need to confirm the grand total,” said Tracy.
Money raised from the event will be donated to When You Wish Upon A Star, a small charity which aims to grant the wishes of children suffering from life threatening illnesses. The charity was started in 1990 and has so far granted 14,500 wishes for ill children.
Staff involved in the event have also donated goods to a toy appeal. The toy appeal aims to bring smiles to the faces of those who may not be as lucky as most people at Christmas.
