Welcome to ‘Think Local’
Date published: 17 April 2008
Think Local is a new initiative funded by the Rochdale and Oldham Partnership that will help bring new opportunities to businesses within the boroughs of Oldham and Rochdale.
The Kingsway Business Park which is currently under construction in Rochdale will see its first companies taking up residency from April 2008 onwards and now is the time to register your interest.
Oldham is currently undergoing a major programme of regeneration geared towards improving the economic prosperity of the borough. We want to make sure that local businesses reap the full benefit of the opportunities arising from this major programme of investment.
The redevelopment of Oldham, along with the Housing Market Renewal and Building Schools for the Future Programmes will similarly help to transform the landscape of the borough and bring hundreds of millions of pounds of new investment. Many changes have also taken place within the council’s procurement department and they are actively seeking local companies to do business with.
If you want to find out how your company can benefit from this major programme of regeneration and change, why not attend our first ‘Think Local’ event in Oldham, where you can find out everything you need to know? It will offer you the opportunity to ask people on the front line how we can assist your business and answer any questions. Questions that we can help answer include:
- How can I get involved and get a slice of this regeneration?
- How can I sell my goods and services into the council and other public sector organisations?
- How can I grow and improve my business?
- What training is available for my staff and me?
- How do I deal with green issues and what is the new legislation?
- Who can help me find the right premises?
- Who will help me improve my sales?
- Who can help me with financial and staffing issues?
- How does my business become more attractive to do business with?
- How can I make myself more competitive without cutting costs?
If any of these questions are relevant to your business then please register for the ‘Think Local’ event on Tuesday 22 April 2008, Chadderton Town Hall, 12.00 – 4.00 pm
Please register online at: www.think-local.net
